Today, I'm 25 weeks pregnant and baby is roughly the size of an "average rutabaga" (thanks to babycenter.com for the very relevant and useful metric).
Why is 25 weeks important? Because she's now considered "viable." Of course, she would need a lot of help and likely have some long term problems, but it's pretty crazy that 50-70% of babies born at 24-25 weeks survive and more than 90% of babies born at 26-27 weeks survive.
Seth and I have both been approaching this baby like we're in the beginning and she won't be here for a long time, but that's less and less true every day. She's going to be here before we know it, and she's also going to need a place to sleep and some clothes to wear. and a name...
