one more thing...
this baby can EAT. I cannot believe the mass amount of food I am consuming. I know I'm pregnant, growing a human, eating for two, etc. but sheesh! clearly he is already taking after his dad.
A lil drive-by post
It has been a rough week to say the least and neither of us have been very good at updates this week. So, while I scarf down my lunch before returning to mass chaos, I wanted to share some pictures I stumbled upon. I am often annoyed with our house. There is so much I want to do that we can't (at least yet), but these reminded me of how far we've come. They're a good reminder for me to keep it all in perspective.
I'd like to add a disclaimer that none of the original furniture was ours.
Dining Room:
Living Room:
Kitchen:
And finally my favorite transformation (and might I add that this before picture doesn't do it justice?!)
I am tired just looking at these. And I really want to go home and get rid of all of our junk! Our house looks so nice and empty.

19 weeks!
Our little babe is now the size of a mango. At our ultrasound last week, he measured in the 78th percentile. Seth is scheming of ways we can get him up to the 99th and I'm trying to convince him to hold off until after he is actually birthed.
He's allegedly startled by loud noises, which means he is probably hating Stella and her recent over protective paranoia that some evil is always lurking at the door (you should hear my sweet, people-loving puppy's cujo impression when the Schwanns guy comes).
Pregnancy really is a crazy thing. Our tiny little guy already has fingerprints and eyelashes and taste buds. Amazing. He does not, however, have a name or anything close. Le sigh.

Seth and Rachel Start a Blog
So I have been wanting to start a blog for a little while now. I really like blogs. I finally talked to my husband about this. If you don’t know, my husband is a phenomenal writer. I say this with confidence even when I do push aside my admitted bias. We obviously have a lot going on this year and a lot to share with the world of our friends and family. Blogging seemed like a perfect logical step. However, there were some follow up clarifications.
What is this blog going to be about? Probably a variety of things. There’s the obviously pregnancy/baby stuff, pictures, random events from our life, etc. My obsessive love for our dog will most likely be prominently featured as well. There may be an occasional rant or rave from Seth.
What is it going to look like? It turns out that writing a blog with your husband limits the cuteness potential. The background and layout may change a lot until we achieve an acceptable balance.
Key terms for you to know:
Rachel- me
Seth- the husband, baby daddy
Stella- our dog
Peanut/Little one/the babe: Our son, due June 22 (yeah, it’s a boy, in case you haven’t heard!)
And now, I leave you with a few pictures of the pure, uninhibited joy that is Stella at dog beach last weekend.
